SMSNA for Patients
SMSNA for Patients, former SexHealthMatters, is an online reference for people seeking help with sexual health issues. The aim of SMSNA for Patients is to help men and their spouses/partners who are living with sexual health issues to understand and navigate the emotional aspects of the condition. It will also help those who haven’t started on a path toward diagnosis and treatment to realize they can improve their condition by seeking medical help, and then assist them in finding the confidence and the words to broach the subject with their healthcare provider. SMSNA Consensus Statement and White Paper Executive Summary: Adult Onset Hypogonadism
In August 2015, a colloquium of 17 experts commissioned by the SMSNA convened in Washington, DC, to discuss the common clinical scenario of men who present with low testosterone and associated signs and symptoms accompanied by low or normal gonadotropin levels. The primary purpose of this project was to support health care professionals in the development of a deeper understanding of Adult Onset Hypogonadism (AOH), particularly in how it differs from classical primary and secondary hypogonadism, and to provide a conceptual framework to guide its diagnosis, treatment, and follow up. The colloquium was funded through an unrestricted educational grant from Repros Therapeutics, Inc. To read the Consensus Statement and White Paper Executive Summary click here.
